Congratulations to the Chinese Taipei National squad!
Taipei hosted the event and claimed the championship with a 3-2 victory over the United Arab Emirates, to whom the home squad lost 2-1 in the preliminary round.

Fantastic fan support with an above capacity crowd of 800+ out for the final.

I was at the inlaws’ house yesterday, in Chiayi, they had the TV tuned to the Cup and I was regretting I hadn’t known about this and stayed in Taipei to watch. It looked like good fun. I’ve only attended one game at Taipei’s rink and it was a blast. Looking forward to returning for more.

Did any forumosans play for Taiwan?

On the National team, I don’t believe so. It’s all local boys. On the Typhoon International squad, yes.
Many of the players from the National team play in the CIHL International league.
