Seriously considering going to this at the end of July. Anyone else planning to go or thinking about going? Never done the travel companion thing before and I may indeed decide to go alone if necessary, but I’ve never been to Japan and a companion, let’s face it, is usually more fun. Three-day festival, band lineup here: smash-uk.com/frf10/lineup.html
Friday and Saturday look great. Shame, I can’t possibly make it.
i go to fuji rock every year (past 6 or 7 anyways) and i highly recommend it.
camping is a good option cuz its cheap, but be prepared for lots of rain. if you get
wet, they have onsen’s (saunas) in town where you can both get clean and get warm.
its a blast, absolutely no sleep at all for 4 days.
i contribute to the festival blog which has lots of info about performers etc. soon, we should be adding practical information about what to bring, what to expect.
the entrance band…
nmmmm
a natural segue from Pumpkins and Joy Div and Sonic Youth, with a touch of Led Zep bass thrown in for good measure.
one word…go! i been one time and it was absolutely brilliant, the experience of a lifetime. expect fierce heat in the morning, then torrential downpours in the avo. sleep is optional.
