Because running as a libertarian is the kiss of death in American politics. I identify as a libertarian myself, but it’s not a good idea if you want to be president.
I can’t disagree with that, but I can dream of a time when it won’t be the kiss of death to publicly embrace the fact that you are a classical liberal.
He was basically a semi-finalist in 2008. The election turned out to be Shit vs Turd, I’d have much preferred Ron Ron during the last 8 years before the God Emperor. Maybe Syria and Libya would still be in working conditions and Europe would not have been flooded with millions of “”“refugees”"" (lol), but I doubt Ron Paul would have won two Nobel prizes for peace, so…checkmate, lolbertarians? I guess?
Weld is a smart guy & Johnson/Weld was as good of a ticket the country has has since 1996.
The Democrats have been a serious disappointment. I really wanted Beto though only to see if Trump could actually make him openly cry during a debate. Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard are the only sane people running who actually have policies they can talk about for more than 6 seconds, if only because other people with half a brain (i.e. Buttigieg and Warren) are trying to race to the left as quickly as possible, leaving us to pretend that we don’t know Michelle Obama isn’t declaring at the last moment.
I probably agree that Biden has the best chance of the declared (or almost declared) candidates.
So far the ridiculing has been limited to the Sniffing of hair antics, but I think when he is put under the spotlight for Ukraine , Iran and his nepotism whilst in office, polls may change.
Yes , I accept that …but there is some pretty damning stuff out there …and unlike some Trump accusations , are able to be verified . Some won’t care , I know . Enough seriousness…
