I also have a no crap on walls thing. An adult class full of ‘kinaesthetic learners’ is going to be an exercise in tolerance/futility anyway, so the place may as well look nice.
Most places don’t allow ESL teachers to dick up the classsrooms anyway.
I guess teaching in a public school is a bit different. I’m encouraged to decorate my classroom and use visuals just like back in the US.
