I know this has been asked to death but I’ve been hearing so many different sides of the story that it’s begun to confuse me and I’m really not sure which is the most accurate and reliable information anymore, so I thought I would ask again here. My apologies on that.
So basically, I can land in Taiwan on a 30-day visa exempt entry. I have found an employer who will be helping me with the work permit and ARC but I need to clarify some doubts.
My primary concern is the 30 days exemption is not going to be enough for me to get hold of the work permit and ARC in time. Just a note that I do need to go for a health check too which will take about a week as well. Add that to the already long waiting time for the processing of the work permit and ARC and I believe that exceeds 30 days. Does this mean I would have to do a visa run?
What exactly is the process like as well and how long does each process take?
Would be great if someone who was in a similar situation as me recently could advise on this
You first need to get your work permit, then visitor visa, after that your ARC. I think you should get your visitor visa within your permitted visa-exempt stay.
Processing time of work permit may be about 2 weeks.
