No it’s actually proabably true. I’ve heard of cases in the States where people have gone 11 years without sleep. How they do it is beyond me.
It’s really quite amazing. {If and when i see a news story telling readers that this was all crap and made up and a complete hoax in Vietnam i will post it here. but for now, maybe it IS true. who knows? But does it mean he did not SLEEP one minute in 30 years? impossible. The brain needs… ssssssssssssssssszzzzzzzzzzzleep, no?
57 hours is the longest I’ve ever stayed awake. Can anyone beat that? How long have you survived without sleep?

Three years and counting. ![]()
The secret? Well, I’m never really awake…
No sleep, no regeneration, death.
The human body needs sleep as much as air.
But ist is possible to be, say if the brain does not stop thinking about a problem, into a state where you lie awake thinking and then just doze off for a minute or a few seconds and sometimes even 20 minutes. But you do not notice it. But after 30 year he should be dead or in a very bad condition. Or does he meditate or reach a similar state lying on bed. Deep meditation is similar to sleep and allows body regeneration.
With or without Brian’s MP3 files
A movie comes to mind starring Christian Bale: The Machinist.
Dolphins sleep on one side of their brain at a time, so are never completely asleep.
Does it count as sleep if it’s only one side though? Wouldn’t that be more like a cat-nap? What is sleep anyway?
They might have meant 30 years without sheep, he is a farmer with pigs and cows, but no longer any sheep.
I’ve gone more than five days and nights without sleep. That’s over 120 hours. The hallucinations start to drive you insane after a while.
Then Sandman’s saying “I’ve gone more than five days and nights without sheep. That’s over 120 hours. The hallucinations start to drive you insane after a while?”
I suppose he starts counting 'em?

… or does his wife simply snor… ?
sorry, I know what I am talking about.
aural or visual?
Aural first after about 2.5 days. Visuals kick in on about the 4th day. Scary shit. Not recommended.
When I saw this thread I thought it must be about New Zealand
Speaking of which:
This joke, I think, is from New Zealand:
A man enters his bedroom carrying a sheep under his arm.
His wife, who is
lying in bed, stares at him in astonishment.
The man looks at the sheep and then at her and says, “This is the cow that I
have sex with when you’re not available.”
The wife looks at him with a frown, “But, my dear, that’s a sheep.”
The husband then says, “I wasn’t talking to you.”
I want to see the three bags full.
