according to the news last nite jimmy and lionel have decided their form of protest on May 20 will be to lead supporters around the outside of the controlled area whilst wearing SARS type masks (some reference to the silencing of GuoFu)…
…i don’t know about the rest of youse but that doesn’t sound very dignified for the leader of the opposition…can you imagine al gore doing likewise at the bush inauguration? …can’t help thinking this is gunna be the icing on the cake of stupidity and childishness lien’s been baking since 320.
and how the hell do you explain it to the foreign dignitaries? “oh thats just the leader of the opposition…he’s feeling a bit left out”
What do you think the chances are that the masks will actually serve their intended purpose of keeping them quiet? How will the wild-eyed, spittle-ejaculating nut-jobs fulfil their functions of screaming about how they’re on a silent protest? Could be a good example for that poster looking for a way to explain irony. (as was hunger striking students taking lunch breaks…)
I think they should all be given babies’ dummies (baby dummies? Plurals can be so vexing when you’re stupid). They can be tri-functional - keeps them quiet, affords pan-green supporters the opportunity to say “Here, suck on this”, and shows everyone what a bunch of two year olds they are.
ok cancel this thread…the weasel’s announced they will instead hold a rally somewhere like sunyatsen hall…the name of the rally, get this…“taiwan, let’s move forward!”…showing a wonderful grasp of irony not normally found in the smaller mammals…
The group that runs Sun Yat-sen Hall said the venue can only be used for cultural or educational activities, in accordance with its mission. Furthermore, it said it usually doesn’t lend out the venue on weekdays to anyone, since there’s an elementary school next door.
Hooray – someone with common sense and a backbone!

These people are so disgacefully green… the media shall have to rethink any coverage given to events held at this atrocious venue and I propose we never visit any such functions or cultural activities held there - ever again.
um dont really get you there awol (r u being sarcastic?)…i’ve been here 14 yrs and SYS has never been used for political events, why start now especially for something of such dubious value as a lien chan whine-a-thon?
i can find jimmy and the boys a vacant lot in sanchung if they want…

And erm… yes, of course I was being sarcastic… I thought the emoticon would symbolise such sarcasm…
sorry must be the heat…it suddenly struck me as i was sat on the MRT that of course you were being sarcastic…maybe we need a sarcastic flag to avoid these little f-ups
“T-shirts handed out by organizers contained a red stripe running horizontally across the abdomen, representing Chen’s gunshot wound of March 19.” (todays taipei times)
i hope they all burn in hell for this latest insult…they are the lowest of the low, the scumest of the scum…the , the… god words fail me; i’m off to the pub to seek solace in a jar of boddingtons
