Starting about 6 months ago Extra-Lan began severely throttling eMule, part, or for the last week, all, of the time. Extra-Lan Bit Torrent seems to run at full speed 24x7, provided you turn on encryption, e.g. in Azureus. Some private trackers like hdbits have people so starved for ratio that even with ADSL they’ll be readier than a dog with 2 dicks to fill your download pipe (though your ratio will take a hit). For public trackers, symmetric up/down speeds using SDSL or FTTx, or multiple torrents, are the way to fill both your up and down pipe.
