So that’s a bunch of islamist radicals who don’t like us Westerners, not for racial reasons of course, but because we have coke and Mickey Mouse and all that dangerous stuff but also don’t like the other islamist radical bunch which happens to be their government.

Politifact didn’t have that one, but google came to the rescue with this youtube clip. Meeting with Iran without any preconditions has nothing to do with taking a terrorist group that supplies and trains Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Palestine and the JAM in Iraq off the terrorist watch list. If Obama said that Iran had to clamp down on them in order to get a meeting, then you’d be right. But he didn’t, so you’re not.
So many of Obama’s policies seem to be directly mirroring those of Bush’s second administration. Why then, are so many Republicans so upset? Was Bush not spending or initiating the spending of a major financial stimulus package? Was Bush not attempting to talk to Iran and North Korea as the military option was clearly off the table? So what gives? Honestly, I think most people just get stuck with the Republican and Democrat label and fail to take the time to understand what is being proposed and what is actually being implemented.

Well, so much for an Iran policy. If Ahmadinejad himself threatens Israel and Europe with a missle, it doesn’t leave much room for the rest of us to shake hands with him like he’s a nice guy.
