NO DRUGS, NO VIOLENCE, NO TECHNO, NO PROBLEM!

High Tide
Moshe Foster (USA) on Vocals and guitars, Andrew Francis (USA) on trombone, Wesley James (USA) on trumpet, MacGregor Wooley on saxophone, Mike Tennant (CAN) on bass, Gregory Russell (NZ) on the drums and samples, and Alexander Ives on guitar, serving a big slice of one drop in little Taiwan.

Funky Brothers:
“A 10-piece funk band, are you kidding me? Channeling Parliament-Funkadelic, Kool and the Gang and other strains of 1970s funk, disco and soul, this is a party on wheels with soul diva Airy in the driver’s seat. Taipei bars know how dependable the group is when it comes to packing the house, and its reputation continues to grow.”

Monkey Pilot
“Monkey Pilot” refers to the space monkey as well as the spirit of “pioneer” and “the vision to change the world.”
Coming from five different musical backgrounds ranging from Hard Rock, Alternative, Funk, Blues, Reggae and even Metal, Monkey Pilot was form in 2006. Everyone’s favorite music style is not quite similar; however, Rock n Roll is the only genre to represent Monkey Pilot. It is also the very same factor of everyone’s diverse music backgrounds that contribute and enrich their music. Authentic and avant-garde, bold and sophisticated, persist and humorous, daring and no compromising…, all in all one could easily trace all sorts of contradictions and conflicts in their music. All of these elements are the perfect mojo as well as bonds for them as a band.

Marcus Aurelius
Is there still a need to introduce Marcus ?? Maybe if you just arrived in Taiwan you have an excuse. after this gig, you don’t.

DJ Shorty
Dj in live dub band Taimaica and prominent member of the collectives Lives in Live, Useless Brotherhood, etc… DJ shorty plays from Reggae dub to Dance hall, hip hop and DnB !

It is sad to see “techno” being linked with the 3 other words as it is merely a prejudice of people whom prefer to stick with same-same old school music in Taiwan.
I can assure you that crime/drug % rate on a 180.000 Pax European Techno party is most likely lesser than on a 500 pax bling-bling party over here.

This said - your comment is disrespectful to any Techno lovers whom are not in the Drugs, Violence nor Problem scene :raspberry:

3 bands : one is rock/n roll, one is reggae, one is funk. both DJs don’t play techno ( alright shorty plays DnB too, but I guess he won’t that night…)

since this disclaimer was part of the official promotion text, I let it in.

but I would had prefered not to write such sentence, because I don’t any problem with drugs, everyone takes their own responsibilities and act accordingly. like, I don’t care if you get caught. so it’s not my duty to write such things.
i don’t like techno myself, but this may be to emphasize the fact that there won’t be any techno that night.

and all the words don’t have to be seen all linked together. (there is a coma ^^)

This said, i am not disrespectful to anyone by just writing this. And I think you think too much. :raspberry:
(have joint , maybe ? )

For thos who would like have a preview of Monky Pilot music :
