9/15 Mid-Autumn Family Fun: DIY Moon Cakes

Taipei Shillin Community College & Chong De Chinese Culture Studio will host the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration on September 15, 2013. This special event offers parents and children of all ages a chance to enjoy an important Chinese celebration by making their own moon cakes. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon on September 15, 2013 from 2 pm to 4 pm.

This event will be held at the Taipei Shilin Community College classroom (Taipei Shilin Community College Classroom (社大公民教室) 3F, No. 190, Sec. 4, Chengde Rd., Shilin District, Taipei City 111 (located near Shilin Night Market 台北市士林區承德路四段190號3樓). Parking is available nearby. The event can be easily accessed via Taipei MRT from the Jiantan Station.

Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon Festival) is a traditional Chinese harvest festival which marks the fall equinox. Moon cake is the traditional food of this festival. (For more info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-Autumn_Festival)
