A bit of help please

I am writing an ad for a computer I am selling, one line will read:
“The screen has 1 dead pixel.”
Can someone help me translate this line please?
Thanks a bunch.

Pixel is 亮點, so I imagine you could say 螢幕有一個亮點壞了. You might want to specify whether it’s in the center or periphery. Anyone else, pls feel free to correct me if this isn’t right, of course.

Ok, thanks for the quick answer DB and the suggestion, yes, you’re right I better specify where it is.
Thanks again.

You could also say 螢幕有一個壞點.

I think both 亮點 and 暗點 are pixels that are malfunctioning. One is always on, and the other always off.

Really? I thought 亮點 was just pixel in general. But I could be wrong.

I did some yahoogling…

Hmm, babelfish gives 映像點 for pixel. And one of my dictionaries gives 影像點; so my first answer may have been off.

Ok, so “dead pixel” is 壞點. Correct?

We use 亮點 but 影像點 is ok,too.

I would say: “One computer. Perfect working order.”

one slighly-used scotsman “over-accullturated” 10,000 NT or best offer

10K? Shit, I’d better wash my armpits then, for that price.

You’re kidding, but that’s what I did first and then some bloke came over, I showed him the screen and told him about the dead pixel, which you can’t really see unless it’s pointed out to you, and he wanted a 5000NT discount because of it.
So, I figured I’ll write another ad with the “dead pixel” mentioned this time.

I think you should consider smacking that guy upside the head.
