Is it the BIS running this in the background?
Ayuh
Is the BIS behind BRICS like it is the system in the so called ‘free world’?
I asked the investigative journalist Iain Davis who said:
The Chinese, Indian and Russian central banks (despite what has been claimed with regard to Russia) are all serving member banks of the BIS. The BIS has worked extensively with the Chinese CB on interoperability for all CBDC. In turn, thr Russian CB has ensured its CBDC will be interoperable with China’s. So yes, the BIS are fully involved with the BRICS.
And Professor Richard Werner says BRICS is probably being introduced to help usher in the CBDCs.
An ‘alternative’ system run by the same scoundrels.

The 17th BRICS summit—ongoing in Rio de Janeiro (July 6–7, 2025), under Brazil’s chairmanship—is notably absent in high-level attendance. Neither Russian President Vladimir Putin nor Chinese Premier Li Qiang is present. Putin is reportedly avoiding travel due to an International Criminal Court arrest warrant, while Li’s absence is attributed to scheduling conflicts.
Their absence raises critical questions regarding the bloc’s cohesion and relevance. The rapid expansion—adding Indonesia, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE—has broadened ideological differences, shifting the balance toward authoritarian regimes. This has unsettled founding democracies such as Brazil, India, and South Africa.
Brazil is determined to use the summit to promote reforms and global cooperation, focusing on green energy, vaccine diplomacy, and equitable WTO terms, steering away from anti-Western rhetoric. However, analysts warn that Brazil may find it challenging to shape the agenda amid internal tensions over Security Council reform and a proposed BRICS currency.
Experts highlight that while weakening US leadership creates opportunities, it has not yet spawned a coherent alternative order. With Xi and Putin’s no-shows, BRICS risks becoming more symbolic than strategic.
Will the ideological mix from recent expansions hinder BRICS’ ability to act as a cohesive counterweight to the West?
