A good watch smith (high end)

I’m looking for a good watch smith who can fix high end watches.

Not one of those sharks in the street who only know how to change a battery.

cheers

A good friend of mine has a collection of hundreds of watches, including many antique pocket watches. I imagine he must know a good watchsmith. I’ll see what I can dig up for you.

There are a couple of watch shops in the Rao He St. night market with some experienced-looking people with all of the tools. I didn’t get any difficult work done there though so I can’t vouch for their skill but you could check them out.

Good luck getting them to return an email or a tele call. I’ve been trying for almost a year and no luck so far. But they are there.

Cheers,

I emailed them and they said they have a ‘master’ who takes care of their watches.

They needed to know the make of watch and what was wrong with it.

I guess looking at the range of watches they sell, the ‘master’ probably knows what he is doing.

I’ll keep you posted.

My watch battery is dead (HOPEFULLY!).

Its a real watch. Custom made thing that I do not trust with the ShiDa night market watch dealers.
Anybody know a good place to bring it?

Why can’t I edit stuff?

By “real” watch I did’nt mean “not real.” I mean its really expensive and not like a Fossil or nightmarket thing.

The “edit post” thing is now up top next to the time of your post, under the header.

There’s a shop on Roosevelt up from the Best electronics store a bit. Between there and where that mini park is for sure. Near the second hand shop. They just changed my battery well enough, it’s a decent watch but not a rolex or anything. Is it better to go to a store specializing in expensive watches? That I don’t know.
