The last few flicks I’ve seen have been total brain-candy. Deep, moving passionate movies such as LIT, Human Stain, Eternal Sunshine and Dogville. I needed eye-candy and I got it. Never heard of the comic book but I am now a fan.
Need an escape this weekend. Go to Hellboy.
Kinda drags in the middle with all the gooey relationship stuff, but still lotsa fun. My perefect partner was very suspicious about my choice, but even she really got into it. Evil paranormal nazis and moralistic demons and the best fire-starter ever. What more could you want.

Yes…escapism and frivolity. But what’s the matter with that. In fact, I actually gleaned some justification for recent decisins I’ve made in my own life from the “moral” of the story. I know I am stretching it, but hey, it’s my thread.

Bugger it! Saw Kill Bill for the first time last night and it was fuckin’ stupendous.
Alien? I get it! I get it! And how. Watch the “making of” on the DVD (y’know?). SEE Trant (y’know?) TALKING about (y’know?) how he made the film (y’know?). Pretty damn interesting.
