I am currently in need of a private mail box for a ahem special “project” I’ve got running at the moment. Does anybody know where/how I would get one? Are they cheap?

It is also very cheap. I used to pay less than 250 NT a month a while back. It might be more now. just go down to your local Post Office with your ID–Taiwan and your home country and fill out a form then pick up your key.
By the way, someone I once knew used to get some stuff sent to his PO box under a made-up name. He would pick up his mail and leave the package on the table for a few days, just in case the Fuzz showed up, in which case he could deny the letter and its contents had anything to do with him. He was successful three times–they got him on the fourth letter.
Word to the wise~ 
But I’m sure you only have legitimate things in mind.

It’s about NT$ 400 a year, and about NT$400 deposit.

hi guys I am going back to the states, I am thinking about renting a PO box and have everything send there. but is there anything that won’t accept BO Box? bank? or registered mail? what don’t they accept to mail to BO box here? thanks
Not sure about here in Taiwan, but in the US - people have been known to use the term “Suite” for thier po box.
But you might get a notice from the post master if this disagree or local law.
