We are about to move to Taiwan from the PR of C, any thoughts on was is worth “buying here & throwing into the container” before we move?

Anything related to agriculture, (venereal) deseases and various communist paraphernalia won’t make the list but feel free to unleash on the subject if you are bored, inebriated and/or insomniac.

Bring as much electricity as you can. It’s more expensive here.

It depends where in the PRC you’re going. You can get pretty much anything in any of the big cities. The only stuff they’re short of are iphones and infant milk formula.

Keep in mind it is 110V here. It took me a while to figure out why my Nespresso machine was not working… So don’t take your kitchen appliances. You’ll have to buy everything again…

All types of furniture? Ikea, which is what it is… seems to be about the same price.

Maybe clothes. I’m a newbie in Taiwan, but the clothes seem more expensive here than in the USA.
