A question to those who are working on a spouse visa

Hi all,
I successfully acquired my spouse visa about three or four months ago and am now possibly going to work. I will not be getting a separate work visa but if my new employer who I’ll be working a few hours each month for wants a

  1. A Copy of my primary Work Permit issued by the Council of Labour

what do I give them?

Your ARC.

A former employer called the local labor affairs bureau and asked, they said that with a spousal ARC, I could work there straight away. This was in Taoyuan in 2003.

Assuming your spouse is Taiwanese, the only thing you need to give your employer is an honest day’s work.

And the telephone number for the NIA or Labor Affairs so that they can get their information straight. :wink:
