Hi, I have taught in Taiwan before and went with a 60day visa that was turned into an ARC, I came back after just 90 days and now I am wanting to go back, when the Taiwanese office here in Canada sees that I have already had a 60 day visa and then an ARC will they still give me another? do they care?
For starters, I don’t know. However, this can probably be reasoned out.
Has your ARC expired? You don’t need this to reenter Taiwan, but I’m curious.
If you had an ARC, that means you had a resident visa, good for about a year. Has your resident visa expired?
If your resident visa has not expired, you should be able to return whenever you wish as long as you have a multiple-entry stamp in your passport (which the Foreign Affairs Police normally add when they process your ARC application).
If your visa has expired, then there should still seem to be no problem. You seem to have followed all of the procedures in getting to an ARC the first time around, and presumably didn’t have any overstays, so, Taiwanese immigration officials should be happy to give you another visa of some kind to reenter. I don’t know if that would be a renewed resident visa, or just a 60-day visitors visa to get you here.
