If pinching pennies, any place to buy used tanks out there? I can get a big used (and rinsed) food grade ibc tote with cage (used for soda syrup and the like) for like $100. Non food grade tank for $35. Food grade 55 gallon (used for drink concentrates, pickles, etc) with locking lid for $40 or less. There’s a couple big resellers (and a few small ones) around most big cities in the US to dispose of them for beverage distributers, canning operations, etc.

Nt$??? I haven’t found those for anything close to those prices. Recycling yards will pay more than that.

Although much more expensive, the only issue I have with large tanks is I dot trust what may have been innthem previously. Taiwan is te land of chemicals. I wouldn’t use them for anything related to food, animals etc personally.

Haha, no, USD.

We have several places like this around - well labeled with what was previously in them, and they negotiate / advertise lower prices on fb marketplace:

Taitung has much better food on offer than shrimp doused in mayonnaise and sprinkles that you could much find in anywhere in Taiwan.

Tried the place across the street from the art museum. Fish and chips sans chips was very good. Wife got noodles, also good.

The coffee shop there is cool, they have a few domestically produced beans. Fucking expensive cup of coffee though.

100$?

It was ok, but yes, the wife asked about coffee and was given the four dollar speech— I left and called @Brianjones and told him about the wonderful cool gray weather we were having.
