A vet that will treat poulty

Well, you guys/gals helped me solve my last pet emergency so maybe you can help with this one. About a week or two ago I noticed my favorite rooster was having serious leg problems. I have searched and questioned many different vets, but none are willing to assist with a rooster. It does appear now that it’s leg is dislocated at the knee (where the knee should be), and I believe I could pop it out and pop it back in and then cast it, but I prefer to leave this to the professionals. So does anyone know of a vet that will treat a rooster? Preferably in Central Taiwan, but if I need to travel I will. Vets so far just tell me to put it in a cooking pot, but since my family raised chickens and after culling thousands of chickens during my youth I refuse to kill another one.

Thanks in advance.

The Congo exotic pet vet is the only one that comes to mind. Xindian.

There are several in Taipei. Check the Ducks in RongXing Park thread. Can’t link. Dashing out.

As a person who used to work at a vet school, I strongly suggest contacting your local vet school. Most of the profs studied abroad and speak English. They can help you at the school’s clinic or help you contact one of their now-practicing students.

By the way, it might be challenging to find a poultry vet. Most farmers know how to treat their animals and rarely need the services of a vet. (This is why I’m going to again mention contacting a vet school.)

Good luck.
