The different ones at Sanzhi were torn down a while back - I saw them once, so I guess they were there a decade ago.

Urban Exploration

Picturenarrative and I went up to the UFO or Futurano village just outside Keelung. The weather was abysmal, but the company was good and I think we both enjoyed a good day out doing Urbex stuff. Aside from the fiberglass alien craft, we discovered half a ship (the one wrecked in October), a coast guard station, complete with a comprehensive selection of maritime signalling flags, an abandoned signal box and an abandoned concrete octopus. The futuristic ghost town of Sanzhi (how do I get there?)

I want to see the futuristic ghost town of Sanzhi. I’m a tourist and pretty new to Taiwan. What would be the easiest way to get to Sanzhi? Maybe taking the MRT to Danshui and then by train or bus? What’s the city, town, bus stop or train station closest to Sanzhi? Ghost Towns In Taiwan?

Hi there forumosans, I have all ways been curious of visiting abandoned places like ghost towns, is something like that here in Taiwan? I saw this abandoned village in HK, from the bus, called Wan Ma and I have been wanting to go take a few picture on a place like that here in Taiwan, I heard about this futuristic place called San Zhi UFO houses, and I will definitively go check them out if possible. I would like to take a few pics.

Odd Taiwan museums and sites

Okay, fine. Maybe I should set up a rival onion museum next door then. Let’s see which one people think is more interesting, oh ye of little faith. btw … keeping it on track here … does anyone know where those strange flying-saucer houses are? I saw a picture of them somewhere on the internet but couldn’t ascertain exactly where they’re located.
