You make it sound like we are completely unreasonable. And that there have been so many suggestions and they have been summarily dismissed.
I admit there are some decisions that are unpopular, but that we stick to anyway (like the various auto-censor discussions). And many times, I personally am slow to respond - I’ll shirk no blame for that.
But if we are really so uninterested in hearing ways to improve the website, then why are there so many ways to reach us? And you certainly know how to reach me directly, and yet I have to read your thoughts over here. “Thanks a lot”
And about those suggestions - how many came from you? If I recall correctly, very few. Actually, none, I’d wager, although I do remember that you were always quick to point out the obvious problems. Picking out what’s wrong is no challenge, it’s coming up with something to deal with what’s wrong that’s a lot more rewarding (for all of us). Back then, just to quiet you down while the rest of us thought of real answers to the way this site is built and rebuilt, I learned to ask you for solutions we could try. And it worked - I’ve barely heard a peep from you since

TC, the dates are back on the blog. They were not there before because I had recycled that template from a version that did not require dates (for some simple web projects I dabble in).
To answer your question about when you can expect the forums to be stable, we chose 1 August as our “reboot” date (see another thread in this forum about that - no date was reported there). There was a stretch when these Repair Table problems seemed to go away, but they have returned lately, and I do not know what causes them
