I think its a case of the ONE gem , and perhaps where the other GEM may have gone to??
Never looked in temp, but I just got a post “temped” so took a virtual stroll over there to see what happened to it and maybe add a response to comments people had made, pointless though that might be in temp, dunno.
Anyway, ses I don’t have rights/permission/guanchi/whatever to view topics in that forum, which kinda implies my prozaic wee post is pretty hot stuff, eh?
But you seem to be implying that some people look in temp by preference, so therefore they must be able to. Confused.
Still, its all temp eventually.
Ozymandias.

It’s because you are a member of the Women’s Forum. Those members aren’t allowed to peek into Tommy’s domain. Just like he isn’t allowed to peek into yours.
Ah. In now. Maybe a login thing.
Heads up here, Mr Egg. It seems that the “Pets And Other Animals” forum is not showing in “Active Topics”.
Thank you I’ve fixed it. I remember taking special care to include that forum’s sub-forum, and I wind up forgetting the parent forum!
Temp. is by far & away the finest delight of these boards.
Must be due to the outstanding moderating.

That’s because it’s all the fun stuff. The pointless out-of-date info stuff stays in the ‘who cares’ forums, the unacceptable stuff gets deleted, and the chat goes to Temp. The Tem is the simple lost art of chat and fun. The rest is all vanity posting.
But I, personally, and a lot of Flobbers have always clicked on “Active” to see what daily bitching is happening. Ultimately, most of the ruder and often more acute analyses are temped. So, does that mean that we have to ache our poor little mousies to breaking point in order to get our daily fix of Tommy and Tainan Cowboy?[/quote]What’s wrong with clicking “New”? Temped topics show up then.
Indeed. I’ve never clicked active.
And temp. is not great because of the chat, as there’s enough of that crap in the rest of the forum. It’s because of the classic off-topic one-liners.

Its where we all share our “Groovy Kind of Love”…yeah…thats it…
The brightest flames are extinguished quickly. Is that right?
The brightest flames burn for the shortest time.
The squeakiest flames start the grease fire.
The shallowest stream is the loudest.
Fight fire with fire.
Nothing wrong with that, Mr Sox. I’m in the habit of doing that now. I was merely asking why Temped topics don’t show up under “Active”.
