The new MSN free emoticon pack just arrived in my email inbox. I use MSN all the time, for all my chatting needs. But does Bill Gates and his Microsoft Corporation know that MSN is being used as a front for the NAZI party?
The little smiley face of Hitler is part of today’s free giveaway. I don’t know what you think about it, but I don’t feel that it’s “cool”.
Click on the place where it says free download in the middle. It will send a free picture of Hitler as well as cows and guns to your email inbox. They are all sized perfectly to be used in MSN Messenger.
I think this was a controversy about 8 months ago. Some typeface had some Nazi decals, but not now. If true, please show us the site and paste here.
That was about a buddist symbol that was in a font, and some stupid people didn’t know the difference between that and a swaztica and got offended.
I’m not convinced this is Hitler, just looks like a face with a funny mustache, maybe it’s supposed to be Charlie Chaplin.

Except that the filename is Hitler.gif, I’d say your argument has validity.

No, they aren’t made by MSN, but the company that provides them has ads on the actual MSN main window. They are given away in the only available free download pack by a company that has ads on the MSN Messenger window.
I have Messenger 6.2, and there’s a new sidebar on the left. Not only is the free Hitler giveaway company listed there, but also at the bottom where is usually has an MSN Messenger.net ad, or ads for a credit card or whatever.
It seems a legitimate company, partnered with MSN Messenger, and it’s also right there on the MSN Messenger main window. They’re giving away free pictures of Hitler.

You are right, memory failing. This something new stupid. Wonder if the story will hit the intl media or already has? How can MSN be so stupid? Or that’s right: MSN.
Mighty Stupid Network.
Kinda looks like Charlie Chaplin to me, but the jpeg grif gives it away.
Oh come on, Hitler’s cool. Everybody likes Hitler. Add Hitler to a movie or novel or whatever, and it makes it so much more interesting. Why not a smiley?
Hitler’s a perennial, like Elvis or Marilyn Monroe. Ever watch the History Channel? If you did, chances were you were watching the Fuehrer.
I wonder if, in the hypermegaglobalverybusy world of Microsoft and the U.S. in general, if this isn’t just a way for MSN’s users to move along debate by invoking Godwin’s Law. In other words, the proper use of the Hitler .gif is to note that the debate is now uselessly mired down, and it’s time to move on.
