Air Raid Sirens

Hearing the words “Air Raid” reminds me of the movie “Dazed and Confused” and the character Darla when she’s hazing the freshmen

I keep my little Commie flag by the bed for just an eventuality.

Again I’m drawn to Wu Bai’s Air Raid Warning:

Someone’s done a damned fine job here:

Different people doing the bombing though.

First time in ages you actually thought and you got it wrong! Damn. What are the chances?

You better be careful. Any more false warnings and people will start calling you chickenlittle666.

What gave you the idea the air drill was scheduled for today? It has been quite a while since the last drill so it should be about time for another one.

My wife is a big, fat liar! She really is big and fat and she’s reading this as I type…gotta go!

The zhenna’s up for a bit of ultra violence eh? You gloopy ded!

Horror-show.

Watch the yarbles!

That’s what she went for!

Does anybody know anything about the mysterious door at CKS airport labelled ‘Air Raid Shelter’? Do they really expect a terminal full of people to run through that single door as the MiGs swoop in?

The Taiwanese do have a wicked sense of humor, don’t they?

Well, I for one, am glad I canceled all of my meeting yesterday, so I could be ready for the air raid. Can we have another one today?

I think there’s a drill today. It was reported on the news that there will be a drill (in the north) between 1:30 tand 5:00pm.

Grab your gas masks!

Are they usually this long? How will I get back from Burger King at lunch!?

The streets are closed between 1:30 and 2… after that free to travel around as you please

Take cover!

Grabbed a coffee, a spot by the window, and watched in amazement something about as rare as the near approach of Mars – one of the biggest streets in Taipei empty of cars.

3 cops tried to stop me. The first pointed at his watch. Had no idea what the f$%^ he was trying to say to me. The second didnt look at me but waved other cars to the side, same as the third. I was riding my scooter. This was in Taoyuan. They had EVERY street covered, even the side roads. I just kept on going!!!
Maybe they took down my plate? We’ll see!

I guess they don’t care if a foreigner gets hit by a stray missle …

So, is that the drill? In the event of an actual air raid, everyone pulls over to the side of the road rather than seeking cover?

Retarded isnt it? OIT (only in Taiwan!)
