I have seldom found that on CI and BR. TW carriers need to work more on tech for sure
I flew economy class on the first leg of the trip, and that bluetooth option was definitely there. Why remove it for business class?

Travelled economy on CI’s A321Neo recently and they had BT option on their excellent entertainment system. Got vouchers for free wifi for the full flight in both directions also, which was nice!

Told ya.
Last time I flew in from LAX, most of Economy were Vietnamese passengers transiting in Taipei on their way to Vietnam. Fare was half price compared to a direct flight from Los Angeles, they told me. That’s a lotta $$$.
Oh and they had the luggage to show it. 
So taking advantage of this market, especially given the good service and reputation of Taiwanese airlines, makes excellent business sense. They can also take cargo along to SEA.

I’ve actually never had a flight with Bluetooth capability with the in flight entertainment
Ok, I flew on a completely different the plane. The business class seating on my flight was arranged in a 2-2 configuration, and not 1-2-1. So Den had a bigger screen, a bigger seat, and the bluetooth function was available on his entertainment system. So I guess the issue I ran into is just on some older planes.

A321neos, they only have A350s, A330-900neos and A321neos.

It’s excellent, particularly in economy. You can use your noise cancelling buds or just decent buds instead of the crappy throw away wired ones provided, if they’re even provided.

Which airlines has them? I fly often and never encountered it.
United and Delta in-flight entertainment systems can also pair with Bluetooth headsets.

I fly American unfortunately 
One world member and DFW where I lived is there hub.
It’s terrible though. I don’t know if it got worse but my last flight with them a few weeks ago was awful. The seats were not comfortable and the service was incredibly rude it was like a joke I only could laugh at during the flight.
