AIT wont give me a fingerprint card

The little fuckers. I waited 1 1/2 hours at AIt only to have the following occur:

I asked for a fingerprint card.

Ait: Why?

Me: I need to send it to the FBI to get clean criminial record.

AIT: We are not an embasy, we dont have that here.

Me: But…others have said they got one here.

AIT: Only finger print card we have is for imigration.

Me: Can I have that one?

AIT: No.

Me: Where can I obtain one.

AIT: I dont know. Perhaps the local police.

Me: But the card would be in chinese…I am sending it to the FBI.

AIT: I’m sorry we cant help you. Next!

:fume: :fume: :fume: :fume: :fume: :fume:

So…how, where can I obtain a finger print card…and after, where can I get my finger prints done?

Looks like you won’t be working legally quite as quickly as you thought. :ponder:
Just slap those prints down on a blank piece of paper and send 'em off to the FBI.
Everyone knows those guys aren’t picky.

I don’t often post over here but this one caught my eye. And I got some help in the past in this particular forum.

Anyhow, you don’t need FBI clearance of any kind for your criminal records check. A clean record from your state (or commonwealth) govt should do the trick. It did for me at least. Just remember to get it authorized by a TECO back home.

For the marriage visa take the simplest route possible I say. If you get the FBI involved you’re just asking for trouble.

Best of luck.

Try… fbi.gov/. They have a downloadable fingerprint card for certain situations.

If this is true, you are my hero (but dont expect any rewards or anything)

its not true. yeah you can order a box of a bout 200…but not individual ones for download. :fume:

I got my form at the Canadian trade office. They know the one I wanted in Chinese even though I don’t speech it and they don’t speech English.

Went to a small office to get the prints done. CSI office. They were nice. There are two so find the one near you. You send it in to the cops in your home town. Then wait for a year.

I went to Canada and had it done over night with no prints. Then I had to get it approved by the Taiwan trade office in Canada. Also over night with few probs.

Now I get the JFRC ARC tomorrow. Woot.
