I just can’t imagine why people can think they have a good chance of hauling drugs through airports these days. Especially from Thailand, since that is one of the top sources for drugs.
It’s very dumb, without contacts at the airport. You’re a sitting duck and probably a decoy, if it’s your first time, with less than a certain amount.
Doesn’t taiwan have the death penalty for that?

Well, I just remember (not allowed to post his real name), who lived in Tanshui, taught English, sold pot to his students, got busted, released on bail, paddled his ass on a sea kayak from Kenting to the PI and died in one of their prisons for illegal entry. He escaped Taiwan justice and received the PI justiced instead! LOL
It’s not surprising. I’ve never really been a fan, but I’ve heard from acquaintances that local prices have really shot up since international travel pretty much stopped (and they were relatively high before). There’s a lot of money to be made by someone with a spare bit of land/growing space and bulky enough cojones.
