It’s been a year. Hard to believe. Having made it this far, I’d like to extend an invitation to all Forumosans to come and join us on Sunday February 27th for our first anniversary birthday bash. Remember that Monday is a public holiday, so need to worry about the morning after.
To thank you for your custom throughout the last year, we’d like to show our appreciation by having a crazy hour between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday. During this time ALL drinks will be on us. That’s not all: Between 6 and 7 all drinks are two for the price of one.
Having already received several bookings, I am keeping our big table open for Forumosans. It should seat about 20 or so. Should you not be able to find a seat, there’s always standing room.
However, I am still unhappy about the previous Wednesday night when I wanted to go and walked a friend all the way from the Gu Ting staton. It was CLOSED!!! We ended up eating at Sizzler.
I now have acquired an AlleyCat’s business card and I know the website. Neither of them say what days they’ll be open, etc.
If you want to go, CALL FIRST: It’s only appropriate.

Call first, before you walk a long way. If they’re open, they have AMAZING FOOD!!! Otherwise, find something closer to home. it’s unpreictable.
Free drinks…I am soo there! Actually I might just camp outside the night before and wait in line till you open! I was there tonight, remember? Good food as usual!
This sounds like a good place to meet some formosans, since I missed the happy hour at the tavern too. I really wanted to go but was in a bad mood because my cell phone got stolen in the morning. Crap. Still steaming about it. I think the free alcohol will cool me down somewhat.
From our side, congratulations on Alleycat’s 1st anniversary!
I do very well remember when you started to post about “Alleycat’s big plan” my first visit to your place and of course all the great Pizzas, Salads and beverages we enjoyed there since.
You have created a fantastic place with minimum capital and you have all my respect for this. You have set a a new Pizza Standard for Taipei that nobody can match.
From the corner of of Hsin Yi and Keelung Road, all the very best to you, your wife and your staff and keep up the excellent work and hope many more Alleycat’s Pizza stores will pop up in the years to come.
I won’t be able to make it to the anniversary bash this weekend, but I’ll be sure to come round sometime in March and wish you all the best (and have some pizza, of course).
Once again, congratulations on your success! Keep on keeping on.

Ditto apart from the address and the signatory. You have managed to pull off something that few people can; a successful restaurant in a niche market of your own making. I don’t get down there nearly often enough but with deliveries about to start you will get extra business from me on my nights off when I veg in front of the TV or watch a movie.
Thanks everyone, especially you old hands Michel and Bob.
Did I mention Champagne?
PS I’d love to make all sorts of things. But as you know our pizza only recipe has proven quite successful. If you’re in the mood for something different: Carnage make a wonderful Sheperd’s Pie, among other things. The Tavern also makes great grub, my favorite being the Fish and chips.
I’ll be there with J. A year already? Damn! But what’s this? Fuck, I have to work, so I won’t be able to make it until about 8. Hope there’s still a free drinkie for me
Recipe for success: Great food, reasonable prices, friendly service… and no real competition in your niche (because you are head and shoulders above all other pizzas in Taipei)
