Amendments to Lawyer Law

As you all maybe well aware the Ministry of Justice is conducting meetings with related groups regarding amendments to the Lawyers Law. As is usual with these capers the project has been dumped on some low level kid over at the MOJ but she is going through the motions as they say (living in Taiwan has really taught me the truth of one of my dads old maxims, when referring to something done incredibly half assed he would laugh and say well good enough for government work.).

But back to the point. I have not been at any of the meetings but I have had a look at the agenda and gotten some play by play post game analysis from people directly involved. The highlights of the potential changes are:

To allow attorneys and law firms to incorporate. This I am told would be a big tax advantage plus limit their malpractice liability

Any danger of Taiwanese lawyers having to learn any law?
