Well you can question me even the video featuring the white man deserves questioning as it could just be CCP propaganda as someone already mentioned. However, since the incident supposedly happened in Taiwan, reporters could easily draw an investigation by talking to local police or confirming the man’s identity to verify the facts. While they choose not to dig any deeper because it goes against their interests, the controversial remark came from an outsider especially someone from a friendly nation rather than a local citizen or some pro-China supporter, the media prefers to avoid such investigation.

What do you want reporters to do? Break into her house? Over a post? Reporters report. The journos in this case did their job properly. They reported on the post.

That video of the girl with the Taiwan sticker is nothing more than recycled internet rumor and obvious AI fabrication. When journalists do such a poor job of verifying it that they end up showcasing a fake image, it highlights just how unworthy the whole thing is of media attention.

Someone posted their support for Taiwan on a personal account. If not for anyone else, but for themselves. They exercised their right to free of expression.
They made an AI image. They deceived people for thinking it was an organic encounter. Not the news. The news, particularly the example YOU provided to me expressed it in a factual manner. The news made 0 unverifiable claims.

That kind of story shouldn’t be making headlines in the first place, as it’s just based on an online AI-generated photo. In contrast, the incident involving the American is genuinely newsworthy because it sheds light on how foreigners perceive the Taiwanese and Chinese identity. However DPP’s media is trying hard to promote the “Taiwanese” and “Anti-China” agenda I’m not surprise that they avoid covering the white man’a incident.
Except that fact was not known initially, and when it was discovered the media corrected the story.
The difference is that it’s already known by everyone (except you apparently) that it’s propaganda, so there’s literally nothing to report - the media did their job by not reporting it!

I deeply love Taiwan, but I don’t support the DPP. I also oppose the CCP, but not China. Above all, I won’t support any political party or system that tries to strip off people’s gun and citizenship rights. I clearly do not support CCP but that doesn’t means I have to be anti China or pro independence. I respect everyone’s freedom of speech no matter you are pro or anti China.
If you like guns, I can think of a few large and aggressive countries you could consider for your next move(s).

Well I do support Ukraine’s armed struggle for sovereignty and deeply value the rights we enjoy in the U.S, but I strongly disagree with specific policies Trump is implementing right now. This is not double standards, my concern comes from the fact that Trump’s current stance and policies are simply not friendly to immigrants and non-citizens.
