I had no idea, just thought you were just really into cars lol.
Mechanophilia.
Mods mods ā¦ infamy . Iām being attacked cars are like alcohol , just exist to be severely abused .
Taiwanese Companies have potential . I guess you need to be willing to adapt and just go with it . I was lucky to strike a good deal , based on performance , that cost them a lot , but we all did very well. Laobanās are pretty switched on , but my original Boss loved to tie everything up with a Contract.
Trouble is that a few years into it , the contract meant he had to pay an awful lot . It was challenging , and tasked with starting projects from scratch, which is good. Trouble is that they can tend to overload you with projects to Manage and having a few extra "helpers " hinders you .
Got free Racing which would have cost me a fortune and company cars ā¦
Now I do a similar business with a partner and wow , itās been tough to build up .
Did you have any love/hate relationships with any cars you raced?
Iāve been teaching ESL for over twenty years and Iām fine with it. Of course I can imagine ābetterā jobs like porn star or Hollywood action hero, but in terms of day to day existence Iām paid well for the work I do, and for the most part I enjoy teaching.
There could be exceptions, but my experience with ājob envyā is usually that the people you envy arenāt really doing as well as you think they are. Or else they fail to enjoy their status the way you would. This is just another side to the grass is greener argument, in that what other people have isnāt always what they themselves want or appreciate. I say this, moreover, with a relative who is famous in some circles. Yeah, he gets to hear crowds cheering, but he also has to worry about money and his future way more than I do.
If I could offer some advice it would be to stop comparing. Ask yourself what you have, ask yourself what you want, and then ask yourself how you could make it better. But donāt go too far in comparing your job/girlfriend/life to someone elseās. It might be that theyāre secretly miserable.
Except Leonardo DiCaprio. If heās not happy all the time heās insane.
Not keen on the ones that try to kill me on the Track
Funny business to doā¦ hundreds of thousands of laps and lots of travel.
Sometimes for Manufacturers , TV, all sorts of stuff . Downside getting Race and Rally Instructor licences used to be very difficult, now itās easier, which reduces salaries. like Teachers here ā¦salary hasnāt moved much in a long time.
I still sigh when people say , āYou must have the best job in the Worldā as I sit in the passenger seat Instructing some Porsche racer who has a death wish.
Pretty much stopped Competition now. Taiwan is so far behind in Motorsport .
I guess Taiwan has given me a good living and a more laid back life .
