An interesting sound bite for history buffs

This evening I decided to pop my dvd of Tony Richardson’s Charge of The LIght Brigade into the player. There are a few slow bits, during these I fished through wikipedia to expand my knowledge of the pirinicpal characters.

Anywho…

Wiki had a link to a sound clip. Made in 1890, it is a recording of Trumpeter Lanfrey sounding the very charge he sounded during the charge, using the same bugle.

This is the National Park Service website, it has lots of interesting stuff for the history buff.

Enjoy.
