Yep, I was just browsing this, wow! I want a dual processor, good camera, phone capability, dock for keyboard, usb slot.

When? How to get it?

It’s shipping in probably March. So if you really want one, getting it muled over will be your best option.

It will be interesting to see Apple’s response to this with the iPad 2. Now that there is real tablet competition, the innovation from both sides is really going to heat up.

Ballmer’s announcement of Windows 8 being built for ARM and their impressive Surface demo today I think shows that Microsoft will very likely also have some real salvos to fire in this fight to add a third real player.

Exciting times ahead.

Do you think this will beat iPad 2, or should we wait till that comes out? Personally, I think if they’re comparable, then I’d prefer to try Android.

If I want to get 1 (2?) brought over, would anyone be able to help?

It all comes down to apps. Unlike a cell phone, which you can still use for calling and SMS, a tablet is pretty useless without the required apps, unless you just want an ebook reader / net surfing device (if that’s the case, there are much cheaper knockoffs to choose from).

I assume the iPad 2 will have pretty similar specs, but because of it’s one year advantage, it already has way more apps for it.

A year from now may be a different story. By then there will be a ton of Android tablets and Honeycomb should be mature enough to see all the major apps on it. Then the real competition will begin.
