Animal Shelters in Yilan County?

Hi!

Im trying to do research on animal welfare in Taiwan, but more specifically LuoDong in Yilan county.
Does anyone know of any animal shelters, strays organization or animal volunteer group in Yilan County or LuoDong??
Have any numbers, emails, addresses or names you can put me in touch with??

Also, some of the large, international animal-welfare orgs should be able to provide a list. Try Peta, WSPA, IFAW, Humane Society International, and the UK’s RSPCA.

There will also certainly be a number of ai xin mamas - sadly, hoarders mostly - who take in and feed hundreds of strays. You would need to ask around locally.

I’m not sure if this group is still active, but their website is still there (updated in June, 2009). Their facebook page doesn’t seem to have any recent activity, though. I’m not sure how to contact them as they are a small group of private rescuers. If you could contact them, they would probably have lots of information. They would also need a lot of help becuase it can be very frustrating trying rescue animals without much local support.
