What do you think about having Annual Awards on Forumosa?

Let’s start nominating. I’ll set up a poll later.
Running out of double entendre so soon? Perhaps you’re not as well endowed in wit as you’d like to believe. 
How about:
Whose opinion can’t you swallow?
Who do you you suck up to and who do you spit it right back at?
Whose advise turns your crank?
Who’s the biggest dick? The greatest asshole?
Who strokes your ego and who makes you scream “Stop! I can’t take anymore!”
Who leaves you crying for more?
Who talks softly but carries a big stick?
Mucha Man, you make my cheeks burn.
How about it? I think it would be fun.
Nominations could begin on 1 December and the awards presented on the 15th.
Suggested categories:
Best All-round Contributor,
Most Popular Mod,
Funniest Poster,
KB Contributor of the Year
Brownest Nose
Over-poster of the Year
Most Annoying Poster
Coolest Poster
Most Popular New-comer (signed up that year)
There could also be awards for individual posts - funniest post, most interesting post, wackiest post, etc. These could be viewed along with the other winners in an Awards Gallery.
Rules - apart from awards relating to mods, I suggest that mods not be allowed to be nominated to avoid a lot of ass kissing (or knife-wielding in some of the ‘negative’ awards - that’s another point. Do we have positive awards only? That would be a little dull IMO).
Also, perhaps a minimum of two posts would be required in order to be eligible to vote to prevent people trying to artificially boost votes by setting up fake usernames. Sounds unlikely, I know, but some people have WAY too much free time.
Also, how about reviewing the various personality ‘symbols’ at this time? What if Wolf becomes very ungrumpy for a whole year

Once nominations are in, we could set up special polls so that the results cannot be viewed until all the voting is done
Winners in each category could be given “reward chops”. I’d like to see little plastic trophies handed out at the January Forumosa Happy Hour, too

Open a temporary new forum with a poll for each category (secret would be best). People could post discussion for nominations.
People could either only vote (or perhaps only get into the forum) if they had a certain amount of posts (2 is too low) ro spend some guanxi, to prevent silly people opening accounts to make multiple votes for themselves.

Of course all these categories apply to one year only (it’s not total number of posts, for example, but posts this year).
More nominations for the suggested categories please. I think there should be a minimum number of nominations and votes for each category, otherwise it would be kind of meaningless if a poster only got a handful of nominations or votes.
Kind of luke-warm response so far. 
Do any of the other mods/admins have any opinions about this whole idea?

Or maybe I should rephrase the question:
“Who doesn’t think it’s a good idea to have annual awards?”
That way if no one responds to this thread then we can assume that everyone thinks it’s a great idea.

But since Gus & Maoman have decided to club together for my Triumph – I mean, the prize – I would happily slip Maoman a few guanxi to ensure that Hakkasonic is mysteriously unable to log on for a few weeks.
