Any place for sports betting?

I’m not really sure on the gambling policy here in Taiwan so…

Is there a place where you can bet on sports? Like NFL, NBA, etc?

I saw that they accepted World Cup Soccer betting in some of the Taiwan Lottery outlets when I walked pass them but not haven’t really inquired since I still can’t speak fluent Chinese.

Any place to sports bet in Taipei or it’s non-existent here?

Pretty sure the Sports Lottery will take bets on NBA and MLB, not sure if there is a demand for NFL.

Gambling, with the exception of state sponsored lotteries, are illegal in Taiwan.

I’ve never used them, and have very little interest in this kind of thing, but these stores seem to be popping up everywhere now. My colleagues tell me that the odds they pay are not very good.

I think if you’re betting on US sports, wouldn’t an online betting site be better? At least you could use an English-language website that way. I haven’t tried that before either, so I don’t know if it would work.

Thanks. Seems there’s really no way to check it with English… I tried to ask the shopkeeper and she had zero english but at least she understood NBA.

I just wanted to check if the lines are the same or not.

I have tried online before but too much lines available online and greed is just taking the most out of me. I win more when i use a local then doing it online.

Anyway, still have many months for the NBA. Knowing that they accept NBA bets, gotta get ready for the interesting season.
