Any possibility of dealing with US Citibank from Taiwan?

I had US Citibank checking and savings account.

Then I moved to Taiwan, transferred all the funds from US Citibank accounts to Taiwanese accounts. But a few automatic payments like Dropbox has been taking money out of my US Citibank, so my US Citibank savings and checking accounts have been shut down. Of course I had money in Taiwan but it’s simply I wasn’t notified of all this earlier.

I want to just send those few dollars and reopen my account. So I called them, and they say I have to physically visit US branch to reopen my checking account.

But to visit US just for that purpose sounds like an overkill.

I asked Taiwanese Citibank, and they say they can’t help.

But how do Americans living in Taiwan deal with all this? There must be some possibility to deal with US Citibank from abroad, I guess?

Despite the name, they are nothing more than a local Taiwanese bank with a US name.

Lipstick on a pig.
