I’ve got a 17" intel mac that’s about 2 years old. Last week I turned it on and found a little green line running from top to bottom on the screen. Today I turned it on and there’s a 3" black stripe down the middle of the screen! I’ve been researching this and apparently there is a recall for certain serial numbers…but my number isn’t in the range. I’ve contacted apple Taiwan but haven’t gotten a response yet. Anyone else know anything about this?
Nevermind, problem sovled! Apple got back to me with good news. They will replace the screen under warranty, as a special exception. Great!
