Anyone interested in starting a chinese-learning website?

I have the domain wohenmang.com and it’s just sitting, blank. For awhile I’ve wanted to start a blog or a website to get other learners together and…well, learn Mandarin. Has anyone else been toying with that idea? Something like sinosplice, but with a Taiwan flare? Like an online magazine, with food and trips and vocabulary, and reviews of books/dictionaries/schools? And transcripts from youtube shows, links to good websites, listings of events, lyrics to songs that are on youtube, easy news articles? And essays…on linguistics, history of the language, learning…

The options are endless, but I can’t do it alone. Nor do I want to.

Is anyone interested?

What’s your business model?
How would it be any different from all the same-old same-old that’s out there?
(Not trying to be negative, but I don’t like to waste time.)

you’re so far ahead of me. i’m really at a loss of what to do with the site. i figured to do something not for money, just for enjoyment and for learning.

i was hoping someone else would have a brilliant idea. anything other than a CSL learning blog. something smarter, with articles or notes or words of the day. oh, dear ironlady, i really don’t know.

so, i guess i should work up some more concrete ideas on this, since it is my baby. if anyone has ideas or wants to get in on this in the meanwhile, EMAIL / PM ME! or reply to this post.

How about a Chinese porn site with the latest vocab in Chinese dirty talk? Videos and pictures are expected. High viewership guaranteed. You can also introduce one-on-one web sessions with “qualified tutors” for an extra fee. Webcam required.
