Hey! I’m just wondering if any fellow Canadians have had experience/recommendations opening up a bank account in Canada while living in Taiwan?
I have very few ties to home anymore, but of course, still have my family and friends back home. I recently had some international banking issues that require me to have a Canadian bank account (I closed my last one there almost a decade ago after moving out).
I have most of my documentation but saw that Canadian banks seem to require a local phone number and proof of address (was planning on using my parents’ address with their permission). Any thoughts or places I should go check out?
