i have a few options for employment trhough shane and kojen. Ive read the post, “my year at Kojen” and there seems to be a lot of negative things about it.
Does anybody have anything positive to share about Kojen, or should i avoid them at all costs?
Don’t listen to everything you read here. People are more inclined to post the negative than the positives. Kojen isn’t a bad school overall, the cirriculum and the teacher training and resources are quite good. They are on the ball about getting you an ARC and getting your pay to you on time which not every cram school can say they do. The pay is lower than at some of the smaller cram schools, but they just gave all their foriegn teachers a cross the board raise in May. For someone fresh off the boat, Kojen or any of the other big chains like Hess or Joy are good places to start. But the best thing for you to do is to just go down to their head office and talk to the recruiter there and find out if it’s for you are not. Also, most of the bad posts you have read are focused on 1 or 2 particular branches. I know most of the adult department directors at Kojen, and I can honestly say they are a nice bunch of people. PM if you need more info.
