Just an update on my situation above. I was told by 2 officers that I will need the FBI check to apply for the APRC …even though I’ve only left once in 20 years for a few days. Also due to letting my ARC lapse 1 week I was told I’d have to pay a 10,000 fine. I was able to cut that in half with a waiver for having a child under 18. I was then told that because of the lapse I now only have 2 years to apply for APRC or the clock resets. Don’t understand the logic but that’s what I was told. At least it didn’t break my required consecutive years.
