Hi. Can anyone recommend a good agent or agency in Taichung for processing a first-time ARC?
Why would you need an agent?
An agent will bring your documents to NIA and pick up your ARC instead of you.
I get that, but that seems to be a pretty limited benefit, so I just wanted to be sure if the OP realizes it’s not necessary (outside of convenience) unless he is some kind of special case.
For the convenience, yes. But wouldn’t an agent also handle notarizing documents?
Deloitte did a great job for me. But I think they only deal with corporate clients. You could ask them if they provide service in an individual level as well.

Know the whole process yourself based on information gathered from official sources that can be proven in court
I wouldnt trust an agent must myself, perhaps possibly to play delivery man.
Just make sure you check all the papers very well before anything is sent in.
Oh, the things that need to be authenticated at Taiwan’s overseas offices? I can see how that would be a pretty big convenience if agents can do that.
Yes. Unfortunately Taiwan’s overseas offices are stuck in the 80s mindset with respect to notarization of documents. ( marriage, health certs)
