Arc cancellation- urgent info needed

I HAVE TERMINATED MY EMPLOYMENT WITH MY SCHOOL AFTER MUTAL CONCENSUS, BUT i ONLY WANT TO LEAVE tAIWAN ON THE 15TH OF jUNE.

MY BOSS WANTS TO CANCEL MY ARC ON 3RD MAY.

MY WORK VISA ONLY EXPIRES ON JULY 25TH

WHEN MY ARC IS CANCELLLED; IS THE WORK VISA THEN VOIDED AND THE MULTIPLE ENTRY?

DO I HAVE TO HAND IN MY ARC OR CAN I KEEP IT? ;(I MIGHT NEED IT IF THE POLICE STOP ME AND ASK FOR ID)

IF SO HOW LONG CAN I STAY AFTER CANCELLATION? ;(I WAS TOLD 1 MONTH)

IS THERE A WAY TO BE ABLE TO STAY UNTIL THE 15TH OF JUNE?

If boss cancels your ARC, you’ll need to leave within 2-5 days. Both the work visa and the multiple entry visa are voided. You don’t need to hand in your ARC.

Options:

  1. ask boss to hold off on cancelling the ARC for either 2 weeks-till May 16th, or for 6 weeks-till June 16th (for this 2nd option, maybe offer 5,000 as deal). If boss can delay for two weeks, then you’ll only need one quick trip combined with a landing visa.

  2. fly to HK and get two month visitor visa…that would cover you. I am not sure about the situation regarding these, encourage you to surf forumosa.com a little more, and hopefully someone can give more advice.
