ARC extended, but visa not ... can I get back in?

Here’s the situation:

My work visa/permit expires Aug. 31st, and my company has failed to renew it in time - it’s in the process. (I leave for Canada tomorrow - Aug. 13th, and return Sept. 2nd). Thus, I won’t be back in before the visa expires.

My ARC, on the other hand, has been extended to Sept. 30th.

Question:
What’s the best/easiest way to come back? Get a landing visa upon arrival? Or should I get a document stating that my visa is “in the works”? Or do I need to apply for a short-term visitor visa?

Other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
Mark

Hi Mark. You’re safe until Sept 30th. No worries.

Sounds good to me. I was told to simply apply for a landing visa, which “should be no problem.”

We shall see.

Mark, Does your visa say USED on it. If so it is valid as long as your ARC is.
