Are circus animals banned in Taiwan?

A random question here:
Are circus animals banned in Taiwan? I found an old article about Taiwan passing a first amendment to do so, but how about now?

Judging from the article, I think it removes circuses from the type of organizations able to import or export wild animals in Article 24. But I have no idea if an older version of the law or if the amendment legislation can be accessed somewhere.

Thats cool. Not often we see Taiwan protecting animal rights.

Not true anymore. They have some of the strictest animal rights laws in Asia. When I first got here they were still cutting the hearts out of tigers alive in public, cock fighting was going on openly in Taipei, and dog fighting was rampant (still happens now but prison sentences if caught). Things have improved A LOT. That Hong Kong cat killer from NTUST nearly got lynched a year back.

Taiwan had a real moment of shame with that animal park out in Yeliu. Something like 20 tigers got stuck out there and no one wanted them.
