The world needs more places like that, carbon emissions still increased year on year. The election of Trump was bad for the environment

“Xi urged all localities and relevant authorities to draw lessons from the case, and to strengthen their prevention and control of risks at the source,” the article said.
Li Qiang, China’s Premier, “urged coordinated risk prevention and control efforts to ensure social stability,” the report added.
The attack has shocked Chinese society, which takes pride in its public security, and has prompted questions on social media about what a rise in reports of violent crimes in large cities says about the state of their country.
No wonder many in the UK are struggling to pay for the heating and choosing to die instead…

Doesnt mean it was a big factor in the election.
It seems like the UK does want to be a world leader in reducing emissions. New target set just yesterday, forget the fact that we are going to miss the old one.
The average guy on the street doesnt care.

My mom who spends roughly 100aud (2,000NTD) on power a month (no solar panels) for 4 aircons, 2 large freezers and fridge and a dryer -which she uses as she’s now lazy in Australia just got a $1000 ($22,000NTD) rebate from the government for the power which she gets every year. (My mom is NOT a pensioner.)
This means that she spends less than what I do in Taiwan and has double the freezers and aircons…

UK should be proud at doing something right. It helps they closed down almost all the coal and steelworks.
