I agree it is seen as a negative a lot more now. I think most women myself included want to be able to trust the man is capable of leading. So a lot of times I subconsciously test that in small ways. I am able to be independent and dominant, but when in a relationship I want to know that he can take the reins so to speak so I can be more submissive. ---

In the US this would be a wrongful termination suit. I’m surprised this isn’t a thing in Taiwan. Also since I think Taiwan isn’t an at will employment country, I would imagine this would be wrongful termination at least. ---

She treats coworkers differently based on their “grade” or “rank”. She’ll pretend to be nice in front of people and badmouth them behind their backs. She rarely shows gratitude when others help her. ---

I haven’t had talked to her for over a week now. Yesterday, I hung out with a coworker, and he told me that she asked him about how the company classifies me since I don’t do any work in marketing and int’l sales. As my manager, it’s clear that she knows my current role in the company. My coworker told me that she clearly wanted him to comment on the company’s future plans for me. Based on that, it’s clear that she wants to understand my future at the company and thus my compensation. ---
